Want to spread your love for beekeeping while helping others and exploring the world?  Then this information should be of interest to you.  Recently Winrock International reached out to us asking to pass along information about their volunteer beekeeping programs.  While we’ve not had a chance to participate in this ourselves we figured you might like to have a look:

Winrock International is seeking beekeepers with skills and experience in all aspects of beekeeping and honey production, processing, and marketing. Qualified experts will have a life-changing opportunity to use their expertise to improve the lives of struggling beekeepers or honey processors in Africa and Asia, by serving as Farmer-to-Farmer volunteers. Volunteers must have American citizenship and significant experience and/or training in beekeeping or production/processing/marketing of honey and other hive products. Specific needs vary by country; Winrock currently has open opportunities in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Guinea (click HERE for a list of opportunities). Winrock pays all travel and in-country expenses; the volunteer donates their time and energy. This is a chance to gain invaluable experience, learn about a different culture, and really make a difference in the lives of poor, vulnerable people around the world.
