Alright, it’s just about time that we “went live” with this DVD, it’s almost ready to ship, we’ve got to work out a few details, but I think that we can at least give you some preview clips of what will be in the DVD while we do some stuff in the background to make sure when we do “go live” that we can ship out the DVD’s as smoothly and quickly as possible.

But enough of the boring details, here’s some fun stuff! Just click the play button on the videos below to check them out.

    Recently a small swarm of bees landed on a spare hive I had in the garage! My question is — Now what. It’s the beginning of August! What can I do to help these bees survive? Thanks Karen

    Sorry but it is not done well in that it is just a teaser and what you show is what everyone knows and you are so very careful not to give away any secrets. There are plenty of DVD’s out there with great detail. So don’t waste your time., What you should do is show all the products you sell ; Let’s say you sell a bee hive or several and rate them Good Better Best. Also show which is Best White cedar or Cypris or what ever. Show each and every part someone needs to buy to get started leaving nothing out

    @Granville Lovell – that’s what we do in the first DVD… it might not be clear that there is a first dvd if you just landed on this page. but we go through the gear step by step in Basic Beekeeping: Starting Your First Hive.

    @paul-
    do you have some spare boxes to put the hive in?
    if you do, then you can try and lure them out, or find a “bee vacuum” and extract them that way.
    we cover that exact situation in the new dvd – there’s a bit of it in the preview.

    I have some reservations about using corn syrup anymore due to the genetic manipulations by ADM and others. There was a news story recently about finding plant genes in bees…. unexplained and previously thought impossible. This might have some bearing on the bee die off.

    Just reviewed the new DVD. Great job. Very informative. The fondant clip made me hungry for some taffy, it looked good enough to eat. Well worth the price. Now you need to talk about some of the alternant hive types.
